We are having a fun spring break at the library!
We met two milestones for our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program: congrats Hensley Kay and Howdy!!
We had a fun St. Patrick’s Day theme at story time today- we read some silly leprechaun stories, went on a shamrock hunt, sang a song and made some cute St. Patty’s headbands!
We want to thank author Aspen Dawn for an incredibly vulnerable and moving program last night. Her poetry and life story as well as her advocacy for victims of domestic and sexual violence have helped so many others.
Thank you to all that attended!
Aspen Dawn’s book, Simply Me, can be found on Amazon and at the Madison Library.
We would also like to spread awareness of the Family Life Center Safehouse that provides shelter, client advocacy, court advocacy and police response advocacy for residents in Greenwood County.

Another Terrific Thursday! During story time we read some fun books relating to March “Coming in like a Lion.” we made our own lion masks and celebrated Henry getting to 500 books in our 1,000 Bookd Before Kindergarten program.
During AfterZone USD #386, the 4th -6th graders made tissue paper art that turned out really well! Great job everyone.
Another Terrific Thursday at the Library!
Story time was filled with energetic kiddos and a silly story about getting dressed. We made our own winter hats for a craft!
Afterzone focused on learning about the William Allen White Children’s Book Award and sampling our first book on the list: Five Things about Ava Andrews by Margaret Dilloway.
We also got our creativity on and made book nooks! These will be on display for the next 2 weeks at the library. See if you can find them cozied up amongst the stacks!
